Welcome to the United Party
The United Party exists not as a "third-party challenge" to the Republican and Democratic parties, but as "the party" to fix the deep divisions in our country that have been caused by our chaotic and corrupted two-party system.
A core principle of the United Party's platform is a fundamental belief that all Americans are meant to have their voices heard in what is supposed to be a representative constitutional democracy. This stands in stark contrast to our current situation, whereby our governments at all levels (federal, state, and local) have in many ways been degraded by the influence of money, as well as the equally damaging mindset of "party over country." Overall, the United Party's primary initial goal is the undoing of these treacherous ills that have besieged our governmental institutions for far too long, so that integrity. values, common sense, and decency can finally return to American politics. |

Values |
Integrity is a vital to a politician. Without it, government officials are not trusted, and by extension, people also lose faith in government institutions themselves.
Common SenseAnother key ingredient to successful government lies in having government officials who are able and willing to exercise good judgment and make practical decisions. This process is greatly improved when said government officials are willing to accept advice from experts. It is also greatly improved by a well informed citizenry--provided the citizens are granted the proper opportunities to share their thoughts and concerns with their elected officials--and also provided that those same elected officials are able and willing to (1) take advice from experts, and (2) consider the thoughts and concerns of their constituents.

America is a great melting pot of cultures, and with that beautiful diversity comes an extraordinary variety of social norms and values. However, that does not mean that we do not any values that we share in common. On the contrary, the United Party stands firm in the belief that we, as a nation and as a people, can unite together around a core set of principles and values.
DecencyWhether you call it propriety, decorum, or just plain good manners, acting with decency should be a bare minimum requirement of ALL politicians and elected officials. In a nation such as ours, which for many serves as that shining beacon on a hill--symbolizing hope, freedom, and liberty--we should all be demanding more dignity and respectability out of our politicians and elected officials. When kindergartners are expected to treat others with kindness, courtesy, and respect--and taught that it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable--it should go without saying that there are no legitimate reasons why anyone should excuse behavior by adults that do not comply with the same principles; especially if the adults in question are supposed to be serving in a leadership capacity.

The United Party is not just a political party--it is a movement. A sea-change coalition of activists and everyday citizens who aren't asking for the moon--They are just asking for what is right."
